Counsel for Del Mar College requested an informal opinion thorn the Texas Secretary of State regarding this matter and received an e-mailed response. The Secretary of State declared that “There is no direct conflict between the provisions of the Education Code regarding candidate requirements Andy the Election Code provisions for candidate requirements. Therefore, these provisions should both be read as applicable to the election of a community college district trustee.”
The Education Code Cannot be Usurped by Election Code
(a) The board may exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire land, clearance easements for airport zoning, and facilities in any of the counties ...
The Education Code says they can take your house.
If the code can take your property they can determine the localized voting criteria as long as it falls under the Texas Constitution. JK

and down the road we will see where this same principle used to negate the Education Code will be employed again possibly adverse to the Education Entity's interest. Hell, we might even be able to show where other regents or in house counselo is wrong.
I can think of one right off of the bat; the school and a complainant are required to go through the complete process before any other remedies may be implemented BUT, doesnt one law precede the other?
Wasn't the criminal / civil law created before the laws of DMC?

Who at that time wanted a Pharmacy College?
Celanese, King Ranch, URI?
Now we have this unorthodox legislation for an Engineering School @ TAMUCC?
This is a Developing Medical Community with the ability to become the finest in the world. Medical Nanotechnology is already here, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ are already here.
The Political Faction at TAMUCC will find their equilibrium eventually. An engineering school @ CCSU / TAMUCC is obtuse to the medical assets we have accumulated and the Philanthropy already well rooted in South Texas.
Irma Rangel Legislation was for the establishment of a law school at Texas A & I
I work in a department of 76 people. It is obvious to quite a few of us that our boss treats two of our coworkers as if they walk on water. These people can do nothing wrong. These people get preferential treatment which makes the rest of us ticked off and angry at our boss and these people. These workers not only know that they’re treated better than us, but they also know that our boss ignores college policies and procedures when it comes to them. This better treatment includes being allowed to get to work late (lots of overtime), leave work early, being assigned the plum assignments, and ignoring the safety policy. These examples may sound petty to you, but when you combine them with other things including our boss’ partial attitude and our two workers’ cocky attitudes, it really affects our morale. We dread coming to work. Can we do anything to improve our situation? We just want to be treated equally.
I think these guys are going to learn a lesson or two....
from the attorney general down. The Secretary of State cleared Ms Garcia to run. If you read the AG opinion you will know what a crook this guy is when it comes to the little people. Carlos Valdez, I cant see how he would obtain Jurisdiction given there is no criminal act. This matter should be processed through existing administrative law.
A Voter Registration in Kleberg While Residing in Nueces?
The question is, which home was her domicile. I have been to her Apartment here in Corpus Christi, it sure looks like it is her primary residence.
I cannot imagine Carlos Valdez even having anything to do with this case, given his history with Mike Westergren and I am told with Joe Alaniz as well.
If Carlos Valdez prosecutes this lady, he is a fool.
